 The Model 5806 Voice over IP Telephone Adapter allows standard analog telephones to make and receive voice calls over the Internet using a broadband connection. Simply plug conventional wired or cordless phones into the Model 5806 and then plug the Model 5806 into a broadband-connected router or Internet gateway. The Model 5806 supports industrystandard Session Initiation Protocol (SIPv2) and can be configured for use with SIP -based service providers allowing user choice in hardware and most SIP-based VoIP server equipment including Asterisk . The model 5806 provides one FXS port for VoIP calls. The model 5806 can deliver a rich variety of advanced telephone services including CLASS features, Call Waiting, Caller Identification, Call Transfer, Call Hold, Call Forwarding, Distinctive Ringing, and Voice Message Waiting Indication.
